Job Summary
The Material Handler – Wrap Line (Loader) is responsible for ensuring a continuous and efficient flow of furniture through the wrap line, keeping it stocked and moving smoothly. This role plays a crucial part in the final stages of production by inspecting products for quality, wrapping and boxing furniture, and preparing shipments for delivery. The Loader ensures that all upholstered furniture is handled with care and meets company standards before being shipped to customers. Department and Reporting Structure
- Department: Shipping & Wrap Line Operations
- Reports To: Shipping, Receiving, and Wrap Line Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
Wrap Line Support and Loading
- We Own It: Maintain a steady flow of furniture through the wrap line, ensuring products are continuously pushed up and staged for wrapping.
- We Give Our All: Wrap upholstered furniture in protective materials, build boxes, and load products into boxes using the conveyor system.
- We Are Family: Work closely with team members to keep the wrap line stocked and moving efficiently.
Inspection and Quality Control
- Visually inspect furniture before wrapping to ensure there is no cosmetic damage and all quality standards are met.
- Identify and report any quality concerns to supervisors before products move forward in the wrapping process.
Staging and Shipping Preparation
- Roll and stage wrapped products to designated areas for shipping.
- Load and unload furniture onto and off trucks safely and efficiently.
- Assist with organizing and managing the wrap line area to prevent congestion and maintain workflow.
Equipment Operation and Safety
- We Own It: Operate material handling equipment, including conveyors and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Use a forklift when required (certification needed).
- Follow all company safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and use of protective gear.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling role is preferred.
- Experience handling upholstered furniture is a plus.
Skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail to identify quality issues before wrapping.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts (certification required for use).
Certifications
- Forklift certification is a plus.
