Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician at Design Group Americas.
- Follow established safe work practices to ensure a safe working environment, promoting a culture of safety and well-being among colleagues.
- Upon completion of startup procedures after warp out, inspect and identify any issues with assigned fixer sections, taking prompt action to address any concerns.
- Respond to loom repairs as flagged by weavers or inspectors, utilizing expertise to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently.
- Maintain assigned looms during the shift, performing routine upkeep tasks to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Complete repair work on mechanical or quality issues affecting fixer sections, applying analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Contribute to maintaining maximum production and quality ribbon on looms by performing necessary tasks, including draw-in ends after repairing broken heddles.
- Address oil leaks as needed, ensuring the continued smooth operation of equipment.
- Prioritize quality above all else, striving for excellence in every aspect of maintenance work.
- Report any ongoing loom issues to supervisors, facilitating prompt resolution and minimizing disruption to production.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of housekeeping and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors, embracing opportunities for growth and development within the role.
- High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent.
- Must be able to read and write effectively, communicating clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Strong communication skills, basic math abilities, and analytical thinking are essential for success in this role.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems, reducing downtime and maximizing loom efficiency.
- Lift up to 30 pounds overhead, standing for the majority of the shift, and prioritizing tasks to minimize delays.
- Analyzing mechanical issues and understanding written and verbal instructions are critical components of this position.
- Work in a climate-controlled area, ensuring comfort and productivity throughout the shift.
