What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler 1 - Union - 1st Shift position at Design Group Americas?
- Re-roll all short rolls and return to Receiving
- Separate and return used skids to correct area
- Gather & strap full supply boxes for returning to Weaving Division
- Assists Operators by moving product to or away from various machine assignment
- Safely transfers product from department (Receiving) to department (Dyehouse) and vice versa
- Maintains supplies needed in the production process
- Issues product to operators based on production order
- Regular attendance is an expectation of performance to ensure adequate staffing and
- Meet expected productivity throughout the organization, employees will be held
- Accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule
- Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of Management
Pay Range: Min $17.25, Max $18.25
Required Experience
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math function
- Ability to multi-task in operation of equipment
- Must have attention to detail and work under minimum supervision
- Previous experience using a hand truck and pallet jack
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift by hand (up to 30 lbs.) or by mechanical assistance
- PPE required, such as, eye, hand, and face protection
- Work within extreme heat environment, at times
