What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler 2 position at Design Group Americas?
- Safely moves product to and from racks with powered material handling equipment including; Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift, Reach Truck. High Lift and Turret (a.k.a. Powered Industrial Trucks).
- Safely works with conveyors to accurately build pallets of cartons to ship out.
- Works in a clean and orderly manner.
- Adheres to safety, quality and production standards
- Accurately and efficiently selects correct merchandise to fill customer orders.
- Use RF scan guns to verify and check on locations and to enter data.
- Completes paperwork as necessary.
- Trains employees as needed on equipment and procedures.
- Picks, packs and ships efficiently.
- Maintains clean work areas.
- Follows company safety policies and procedures.
- Informs distribution leadership of safety hazards or problem situations.
- Keeps up with required metrics for departments assigned to work.
- Support other job assignments as needed for box making, re-work, returns, stock or as directed by Distribution leadership.
- Other job duties as assigned.

Required Experience
- Ability to drive powered material handling equipment, EPJ, Forklift and Reach Truck, High Lift and Turret
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
- Must have legible handwriting.
- Understand and worked on metrics-based performance.
- Preferred RF scan gun experience.
- Ability to lift between 35-50lbs as needed.
- Able to stand on cement floors for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb stairs.
- Must be able to comply with Powered Industrial Truck manufacturer's safety specifications including personal protective equipment and weight limit guidelines. The specifications are subject to change at any time and at the discretion of the manufacturer of the equipment.
