What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Architect/Designer position at Design Group Collaborative?
Design Group Collaborative provides experience on a diverse range of design projects that are located throughout the most beautiful regions in Maine. Our client base spans local towns and cities, school departments, healthcare, hospitality, laboratory and residential, among many others. Description of your role:
- Work closely with members of the team throughout the project lifecycle, from project inception through construction administration
- Work on small projects independently
- Prepares reports and specifications as requested
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
- Part-time position with 20-30 hours a week available, depending on the candidate
- Position is onsite in our Ellsworth Office, with remote days available as negotiated.
Skills and experience:
- 2-4 years of related experience for diverse client types
- Architectural licensure in Maine or another qualifying state (RA or AIA) preferred but not required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel and explore Maine
- High-level proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, and MS Office
What will set you apart:
- LEED or another focused accreditation
- Experience in rendering and/or graphics, including Photoshop, Enscape, and other visualization tools
- Interior design experience
- A commitment to engagement in our community, ranging from pro bono work to nonprofit volunteering
