We are seeking an Assistant Office Engineer to support the administrative and technical operations of civil infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and supporting utilities. This role involves managing project documentation, assisting with contractor coordination, and ensuring accurate reporting throughout all phases of construction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain organized records of project correspondence, drawings, schedules, and other documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and engineering staff to support field and office operations.
- Track project progress and prepare regular status reports and updates.
- Review contractor payment applications and verify quantities against field reports.
- Support quality assurance by ensuring documentation complies with project and agency standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience supporting construction or engineering projects, ideally in transportation or civil infrastructure.
- Familiarity with highway, road, and utility construction practices and terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Primavera P6 or project management software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
