FULL TIME
Design & Integration is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our growing Service Department. The Field Service Technician travels to client sites to perform service on audio-video systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment failures, mounting small installations, conducting preventative maintenance, and providing end-user training.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Has at least two years of direct experience with audio-video integration.
Is able to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Is passionate about providing quality, professional customer service and has excellent communication skills.
Can work self-sufficiently with a small team in diverse environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate daily with the Service Manager to meet departmental objectives.
Travel on-site to provide expert technical support to our client base.
Submit detailed service reports following site visits.
Manage ownership of client AV systems and maintain customer relationships.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on AV equipment.
Design small to mid-sized AV systems that align with customer objectives.
Conduct end-user training sessions.
Continually develop professional competency with regular training and certification on emerging technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
An Associates or Bachelor’s degree from a university or technical school, or equivalent experience in audio-visual technology.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
Able to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods of time.
Able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
Able to work in hot or cold environments.
