Data Scientist

Purpose of Position

My client is seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in advancing our understanding of our products and customers through the application of cutting-edge data science techniques. You will collaborate closely with our Machine Learning (ML) team to rigorously test and validate the effectiveness of various models, ensuring their accuracy and reliability.

Furthermore, you will actively support data measurement activities related to our product systems. This includes analyzing user behavior, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and assessing the impact of our products on user experience. Your insights will be instrumental in guiding product development decisions and improving overall user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ML engineers to design and execute rigorous testing and validation procedures for machine learning models.
• Work with ML engineers to develop and implement data pipelines for efficient data collection, processing, and analysis.
• Build and maintain models for various business problems and content recommendations.
• Support the construction and implementation of data measurement frameworks to track key performance indicators and assess the impact of product features.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including product managers, stakeholders, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Python and object-oriented development.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques (e.g., supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning).
• Proficiency in at least one deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
• Experience with data mining tasks and tools, such as NLTK (Natural Language Toolkit).
• Experience productionizing real-world ML processes that are durable and reliable.
• Ensemble modeling
• Human-centered data analysis
• Background with physiological data processing
• Prefer experience with predictive maintenance
• Hands-on experience working with big data.
• Experience with natural language processing, including text summarization and categorization.
• Experience modifying and building custom models for performance and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify and address challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary program clearances.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate personal initiative.
• Requires adaptability to work effectively in various configurations, including independently, as a member of a team, and in a matrix reporting environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related discipline with a strong foundation in AI/ML coursework.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
