In Colorado, we have two locations – Our corporate offices and state-of-the-art fabrication shop in Louisville, and for our mountain region, we have a shop in Breckenridge. Combined we’re nearly 300 employees and growing. Job Title Project Engineer, Operations
Location: Louisville, CO
Reports to: Project Manager and VP of Construction
Overview:
The Project Engineer, Operations ensures the Safety of those we work with and around, the Quality of the services we provide, and the realization of our Profitability goals as it specifically relates to preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the assigned commercial mechanical projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with and/or perform the following as delegated by the assigned Project Manager:
Project Team Support:
- Attend project specific meetings with internal team and customer.
- Assist Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and field leadership with daily operations, communicate conflicts/issues with customers, vendors and subcontractors to the PM
- Responsible for overall effective communication with all parties involved in the construction process
- Build and maintain customer relationships and satisfaction
- Other duties as assigned
Administrative and Document Control:
- Prepare, copy and distribute required documentation for the area of responsibility
- Take and upload jobsite photos.
- Draft and submit RFI’s with PM and Field Foreman review.
- Maintain current drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for office and field personnel.
- Request inspections and documents appropriately
Material and Equipment Management:
- Request, organize, review and submit equipment and material submittal data for design team approval.
- Create and maintain equipment tracker based on current project documents
Project Closeout:
- Assemble and organize all IOM’s and assist with closeout (Start Up, Owner’s Training, Extra Stock, redlines, commissioning, LEED requirements)
- Schedule, attend and document Project Completion Meeting
Requirements:
- Construction Management, or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent job experience relating to the construction industry is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills required, with a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore or similar programs is desired but not required
- High integrity and ethics
- Ability to adapt to change, solve problems, and be accountable for decisions
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Ability to work in and around construction job sites as well as in office settings
- Must be able to meet deadlines and effectively and professionally communicate via phone, email, business writing, and verbal and have strong listening skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license, the ability to pass a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug test
- May be subject to overtime on an as-needed basis
