Design Precast & Pipe, Inc. is immediately seeking a Readymix Driver to join our team! We are a growing company that specializes in creating pre-cast concrete products for commercial and residential applications. Design Precast & Pipe, Inc. is a local, family-owned company that’s growing daily. We have production facilities in Gulfport, MS, and Arnaudville, LA; this position is for the Gulfport location only. Responsibilities:
- Drive concrete mixer to work sites and discharge loads.
- Safely drive truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads
- Check loads to ensure product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner to adjust to desired level
- Estimate slump of concrete
- Distinguish between a proper mix and one that is too rocky or too sandy
- Distinguish the color difference between mixes
- Ensure that all machinery is operational
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
- Perform daily cleaning of equipment and surrounding areas
- Communicate need for maintenance or repair
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- CDL Class A or B Required
- No DUI’s or DWI’s in the last 5 years, no more than 3 moving violations in the previous 3 years
- 21 years of age
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, or other related field
- Ability to handle physical workload—may need to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds
- Strong work ethic
- Flexibility—overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
- Need to have basic reading, writing and math skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
