Shipping and Receiving Manager

Design Precast & Pipe, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Shipping/Receiving Manager to join our team. As a leading provider of precast concrete products and pipes, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, durable, and reliable infrastructure solutions. The Shipping/Receiving Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the logistics operations to ensure efficient shipping and receiving of our products.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the shipping and receiving operations, including the coordination of transportation carriers and third-party logistics providers.
• Supervise and mentor shipping/receiving personnel and provide training as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including precast concrete products and pipes.
• Coordinate with production and sales departments to schedule and prioritize shipments based on customer requirements and production schedules.
• Implement and enforce safety standards and guidelines related to shipping and receiving activities.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
• Optimize warehouse layout and storage to maximize space and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with carriers, suppliers, and vendors.
• Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in shipping/receiving processes.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a shipping/receiving management role, preferably in the precast concrete or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems and related software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
