General Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Team Support: Assist the Supervisor in providing training, direction, and coaching to warehouse employees. Help foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Inventory Management: Support the execution of warehouse activities, from receiving shipments to shipping products. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular cycle counts.
- Safety Focus: Assist in ensuring the warehouse is a safe environment for both the team and products. Support safety inspections, training, and a culture of safety awareness.
- Process Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities to optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve efficiency. Help implement improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Problem-Solving: Assist the Supervisor in resolving warehouse-related issues. Proactively identify potential problems and suggest preventative steps.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Supervisor, production, and purchasing teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Experience: At least 3 year of experience in warehouse operations.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated potential for leadership with the ability to support and motivate a team.
- Warehouse Knowledge: A solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, kitting, storing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and other relevant quality methodologies is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software. Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assist in identifying and solving problems effectively.
- Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs at a time.
- Annual salary range of $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 DOE
