The Field Service Technician performs product service, troubleshooting, and assists in resolving customer issues onsite at our client location. The role primarily consults on assembly best practices and acts as a catalyst in communication across multiple Design Ready Controls locations and organizations we do business with.

Key Responsibilities
• Travel to client location and provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise on control panels
• Act as a point of escalation for client issues, including leading root cause analyses and process improvement projects
• Gather valuable client feedback to ensure our products and services continue to meet evolving industry needs
• Attend client meetings to provide insight on any issues
• Assist in establishing best safety, quality and control panel manufacturing practices
• Perform required research to drive company and customer issues to satisfactory completion, including the recommendation of corrective actions to management
• Verify internal and external adherence to proper documentation and processes to ensure consistency in product build, testing and shipping practices
• Program VFDs, PLCs and other programmable devices
• Perform assembly work, including but not limited to mounting components or other low and high volt wiring tasks as needed
• Perform rework and repair of faulty components as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
Education | Experience
• 2 years’ service technician or related experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in building complex products, control panels, or related manufacturing experience required
• Experience or education in basic electricity and wiring principals preferred
• A valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems independently
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with attention to clarity and detail
• Proactive, quick-thinking, problem-solving approach to work
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams
• Able to use a large variety of hand and power tools with proper safety techniques
• Lifting up to 50-85 pounds occasionally (with assistance)
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay range of $25.00-$30.00 DOE

Design Ready Controls is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. This listed range is based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.
