Position Summary
Design Ready Fabrications is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill a dual role as a Production Trainer / Machine Operator. This position will be responsible for training new employees on the safe and efficient operation of our equipment, including press brakes, plasma cutters, and other machinery. This role is the responsible for operating these machines when training is not actively being conducted.
The ideal candidate will be a highly proficient machine operator with a strong background in fabrication and a demonstrated ability to teach and guide others.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver hands-on training programs for machine operators.
- Train employees on the safe and proper use of press brakes, plasma cutters, and other machines.
- Actively operate machinery to meet production schedules when not engaged in training activities.
- Ensure that all trainees understand and comply with company safety policies and regulations.
- Create instructional materials, including training guides, and visual aids.
- Conduct on-the-job coaching, evaluations, and skills assessments to measure employee competency.
- Collaborate with supervisors to identify training needs and develop customized training plans.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and process improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education | Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of substantial and recent experience as a machine operator in a metal fabrication environment.
- Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring individuals in a technical or manufacturing setting is a significant advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fabrication processes, machine setup, programming, troubleshooting, etc.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with trainees and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation
- Hourly pay range of $27.00-32.00 DOE

Design Ready Controls is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. This listed range is based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.
