We manufacture and sell an innovative and growing line of cellular and wifi soil moisture sensors and weather stations that growers place in their field to remotely monitor field conditions real time using the EarthScout app on their mobile device. As an Outside Sales Agronomist for EarthScout, your responsibilities will include:
· Performing sales calls (phone, email, or in-person) with current and prospective customers while demonstrating sound agronomic skills and problem-solving ability.
· Pursuing new sales & marketing leads, following up on existing sales leads, and creating new opportunities.
· Understanding a prospect customer’s crop, soil, and irrigation challenges, and recommending EarthScout products and solutions that will benefit their operation.
· Building lasting relationships with customers and prospects while earning their trust.
· Being responsible for all sales activities from lead generation through closing the sale.
· The ability to demonstrate EarthScout products and explain features.
· Being able to present our product and service benefits, and the added value we offer.
· Serving as an advisor to the product team and assisting their efforts in incorporating new products or services that benefit our growers.
· Contributing to a positive work environment that promotes the values and mission of EarthScout.
· Monitoring market conditions, competitors, products, and pricing.
· Providing ongoing support to your customer base.
· Forecasting annual territory sales.
· Maintaining an accurate customer information database (CRM).
· A desire to travel regionally to tradeshows and meet with growers to close sales.
· Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Qualifications
· Sales experience in agronomy, ag solutions, agricultural equipment, or related industry is preferred. Experience in outside sales of ag solutions or ag equipment is highly preferred.
· Personal or family experience in farming or agriculture.
· Knowledge of local markets and ag equipment.
· Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
· Experience using CRM system to contact, document, and follow up with leads.
· Ability to present estimates and negotiate exceptionally well.
· Being versatile and enthusiastic with high energy and self-motivated to succeed.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Laptop, Smartphone and related products.
· Ability to travel using company truck when necessary.
· A bachelor’s degree is a plus but is not required.
· Certified Crop Advisor preferred.

- Competitive Salary:$60,000-$70,000 annually DOE plus commissions
- Commission on monthly sales as defined in terms and conditions of Agreement
