At Design Ready Controls, the Advanced Assembler position performs a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing of custom control panels and likely has 4 years of prior assembly or related electrical industry experience. Products assembled primarily by an Advanced Assembler should generally pass safety and quality standards the first time without requiring rework (exceptions may apply). They are expected to adapt to change and be readily available to switch from one product to the next as needed without it significantly impacting their productivity.

Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.

General Responsibilities
- Layout complex electrical panel designs based on drawings from engineers
- Perform advanced troubleshooting by identifying hardware or ancillary components that may not be listed in the Bill of Materials
- Assemble electrical panels according to drawings, including assembling sheet metal pieces, fundamental panel wiring and mounting components
- Use a crane and/or hoist to move and prop up heavy control panels before and after work is performed on panels
- Prepare panels for testing and shipping, including label application, device IDs, wire organization and tying wires together.
- Communicate and document potential wiring and/or electrical issues to the supervisor, Quality Control, and/or Engineering as appropriate
- Actively identify process improvement measures and escalate appropriately to the supervisor
- Maintain a safe and efficient work area
- Implement 5S and Lean Manufacturing as required.
- Assist or participate in training measures as assigned
- Performs a variety of tasks as directed
- 4 years of experience working in an assembler role in manufacturing environment or electrical industry preferred
- Ability to work independently without requiring direct supervision
- Ability to read complex schematics and 2D assembly drawings, and must understand electrical panel component layouts and functionality
- The ability to use a crane/hoist and pallet jack safely and in accordance with guidelines
- Ability to work overtime on occasion, depending on business needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft professional emails with the engineering team
- Advanced ability to multi-task, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail, general spatial awareness and quality workmanship
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate well with others
- Personal integrity, a drive to learn, a teamwork mentality, and being both safety-focused and customer-focused will set the Advanced Assembler up for success
- High school education or equivalent required
- Ability to use hand(s) to frequently cut, strip, crimp, bend and terminate a range of wire sizes
- Ability to use hand(s) to frequently utilize hand tools, table-top tools, drills, torque tools and bandsaw
- Ability to lift up to 10-25 lbs. frequently on average, and up to 50-85 lbs. in team lift on occasion
- Competitive Hourly Pay :$23.00-$26.00 DOE
