R esponsibilities :
The Merchandiser is part of our Apparel Merchandising Team and has and has specific account responsibilities.
- Manage the overall business of assigned account or product category and develop key relationships both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with internal teams for product concepts, branding, and create various products and seasonal line assortments that meet Brand’s overall business goals, product strategy, and profitability.
- Directly involved in all aspects of product development from initial prototype development through sourcing, price negotiation, and order replacement to meet TNA and deadlines.
- Develop, create, and manage the Tech Packs & BOMs with detailed product specifications, material / trim specifications, and sizing specifications throughout the process with all related revisions until product ready for production. Responsible for the accuracy on all the materials.
- Present and communicate the responsible seasonal product lines or category to internal management, stakeholders, as well as outside customers.
- Work and communicate on daily basis directly with overseas vendors and offices through product development, pricing, sample approval, and production process.
- Responsible for Product Costing and Margin for the assigned account / category.
- Work with internal planning, operations and logistics teams for PO issuing, production status, to order tracking.
- Managing and training junior team members (when applicable).

The Merchandiser helps to coordinate DRI’s internal and international resources to provide a complete service package for the client. The position involves some domestic travel for client contact and market research. The Merchandiser will report directly to the Merchandising Manager of the specified area.
