Position Overview:
Design Space Studios is seeking a full-time Interior Designer with at least 1 year of experience in Commercial Interior Design and Construction. The ideal candidate will have strong design, collaborative and creative skills with technical knowledge related to design and construction documentation. The ability to lead projects with varying scales and scope and effectively communicate with internal and external project team is required.

Designer Responsibilities:
- Management and execution of project deliverables throughout through project entirely, from conceptual design through project close out. Responsibilities include but are not limited to conceptual design, mood boards, interior finish selections and specifications, documentation for schematic design through construction document drawing sets, 3D visualizations, maintaining project schedules, and furniture selection and coordination.
- Adapt to varying project needs and responsibilities (e.g., Project A: Project Manager, Project B: Drafting Support).
- Knowledge of commercial furniture specifications and procurement processes is a plus.
- Manage client relationships and work with the ownership team on project timelines & budgets.
- Possess a creative mindset, navigate tasks independently, and be a self-starter.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 1 years of architectural/interior design and project management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design.
- Experience working with an architectural or commercial design firm.
Skillset Requirements:
- Proficiency in REVIT, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of commercial design and construction documents.
- Familiarity with technical knowledge for life safety, egress guidelines and ADA compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and people skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Capable of managing deadlines, resources, and project progress.
- Ability to manage multiple fast paced projects at a time within tight deadlines.
