What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Drafter position at Design Tanks, LLC?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requests and sales quotes
- Develop 2D and 3D drawings suitable for manufacturing specifications
- Interact with customer to resolve discrepancies of definition
- Create work orders, including required materials, to manufacture product
- Consult with manufacturing to resolve questions or misunderstandings.
- Consult with quality control to ensure correctness of product
- Research new materials and suppliers for specialty and stock parts
- Assist Product Engineer, bringing new products to market.
- Assist Engineers with the administration and improvements to manufacturing methods and procedures.
- Assist Engineers with the administration of regulatory reporting, hazardous materials & quality programs.
- Project management software to track multiple projects.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- SolidWorks or equivalent 3D drafting software experience
- Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Directs the work of factory workers
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Multitasking with multiple projects
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
