Position Overview
Establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
Key Job Duties
- Responsible for the day-to-day accounting and cash functions
- Month End closing and reconciliation
- Cash Management
- Manage Audit and Review Responsibilities including but not limited to Annual Financial Reviews, Government Audits, and Bank Audits
- Manage the Budget/Forecasting process
- All other reasonable duties, as assigned
- Knowledge of government contracts and proposal submittal process
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong computer skills including quality control applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- Experience with MS Office Suite (especially Excel), Database management, Accounting Software (Sage or similar), ERP system
- Experience in Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies a plus
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9000 quality standards a plus
- Previous work experience with military products and/or DOD is a plus
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting
- CPA preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in management of accounting personnel
- Experience in Manufacturing environment
