Position Overview
This position reports to the Engineering Program Manager and is responsible for Engineering Change Orders (ECO) processing, the maintenance and publication of Engineering process documents and compiling First Article Test Reports (FATR). Serves as the key interface and gate keeper for engineering design and technical documentation.
Key Job Duties
- Perform initial review ECO submissions to ensure they follow DWT Change Control standard.
- Create/update ERP info record entry, including rate routing and costing, as part of the ECO submission.
- Owner of ECO process documentation, maintenance, communication and training.
- Manages and reports on ECO metrics.
- Leads the development of improvements to document and data control methods and facilitates their implementation.
- Consolidate and complete First Article Test Report (FATR) documents.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments as well as working independently to uphold Engineering Change Control standard.
- In-depth understanding of material master data; Bill of Materials and routing and how they influence one another; training and documentation, process development experience.
- Excellent writing and editing skills. Experience with technical writing and publication, document management, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to read Engineering drawings and specifications is a strong plus.
- Exposure to military product developments, including military standards and specifications is a plus.
- Expert level in MRP/ERP experience, Sage 100 ERP system preferred
- 5 year(s): Document Control experience, QCBD system preferred
- Experience with PDM Change Management is a plus.
- Experience working with material CoC, First Article Inspection (FAI) is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Professional/Technical Writing, Journalism, Information Science, or a related field.
- Technical degree would be a strong plus.
