Position Overview
Under Quality Manager supervision, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the stringent quality standards required for defense applications. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, and evaluations of materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with contract specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Job Duties
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, parts, and assemblies according to established procedures and specifications in a high paced work environment.
- Perform in-process inspections at various stages of production to identify and address any quality issues or deviations from requirements.
- Utilize precision measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify critical dimensions and tolerances.
- Document inspection results, including non-conformances and corrective actions, in accordance with established quality management systems.
- Collaborate with production personnel, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, conducting audits, and participating in corrective action activities as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- CMM Experience may be advantageous but are not required.
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in quality assurance or inspection.
- Experience in industries with high-quality standards is preferred, such as aerospace, defense, automotive, medical devices, or manufacturing.
- Prior experience in quality assurance or inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing or defense industry environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate and thorough inspections using various measurement tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality assurance or related field is preferred.
