Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their Roadway Design team in their brand new, vibrant Fairfax County based office! Our client is a people-driven multi-disciplinary land development, transportation, landscape architecture, planning, and land survey firm that proudly services the Northern Virginia region. Their commitment to community, strong relationships, talented staff, and technical expertise has allowed them to cultivate a diverse portfolio featuring high-profile public and private developments across the DMV.
As a Project Manager on our client's Roadway team, you will be responsible for leading and managing transportation projects, client management, strategic design, and supporting younger staff members. You will advance the discipline of transportation for their firm with a focus on mentorship, staff development, project execution, and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design roadway alignments and geometric layouts for roads, intersections, and transportation facilities, prioritizing safety and accessibility for all users.
- Provide technical expertise during construction, reviewing plans, resolving design challenges, and monitoring project progress.
- Assist in tracking project progress, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate closely with industry-leading professionals, government agencies, and contractors to drive project success.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering their technical growth, problem-solving skills, and professional development.
- Utilize working knowledge of VDOT, state and local standards, policies, and procedures.
