Core Responsibilities:
As a Professional Land Surveyor, you will:
- Assist in membership training and development to land survey team.
- Ensure effective execution, review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
- Perform boundary surveying, topographic surveying, and construction surveying.
- Oversee the preparation of construction stakeout layouts and of cut sheets for field staff.
- Review title commitments, title documents, and zoning reports, incorporating the relevant details into the land survey.
- Compile project status reports, calculations, and maintain records essential to survey.
- Comprehend legal documents, deeds, and plats to ensure accuracy on each survey.
- Organize, direct and manage the team’s daily functions while also ensuring accurate and detailed daily upload/download of data, pictures and field notes.
- Interpret construction plans and documents to ensure seamless project implementation.
- Research county records and retrieve recorded documents.
- Innovate using industry-leading tools such as AutoCAD, Carlson, Civil 3D or equivalent software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of expertise in land surveying
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field preferred
- In pursuit of LS or commensurate relevant experience.
- A strong foundation of communication, teamwork, and collaboration with the ability to unite professionals across diverse disciplines.
- Have Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Carlson principles.
- Deep understanding of surveying principles, site/civil engineering, and construction methodologies.
- A strong background in conducting field surveys and analyzing data.
