As a Traffic Engineer, you will be instrumental in applying critical thinking, problem-solving, and versatile skills to work alongside a team of dedicated engineers, supporting project managers on a variety of dynamic projects. Your contributions will help ensure technical excellence and promote a collaborative, synergistic environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop conceptual intersection layouts, schematics, signal timings, and engineering reports.
- Strive to achieve proficiency in the software tools currently utilized by the firm, and conduct analyses using Vistro, Sidra, Synchro, and SimTraffic.
- Create signing and pavement marking plans.
- Work closely with engineers and designers to research, analyze, and address complex transportation challenges.
- Develop Transportation Demand Management plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Local, State, and Federal design and zoning standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent in relevant work experience.
- Experience in transportation engineering or traffic engineering.
- Exposure to Synchro, Vistro, Sidra, or SimTraffic.
- In possession or pursuit of EIT
- Passion for collaboration throughout the development and execution of projects.
- Excellent organizational skills.
