Our client, a community-focused, multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm in Northern Virginia , is looking for a motivated Transportation Engineer to join their expanding transportation team. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of projects, including large-scale residential developments, vibrant mixed-use commercial spaces, educational campuses, and essential transportation designs. Key Responsibilities
- Design and prepare technical documents using Bentley’s MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer software.
- Assist project managers and senior team members throughout all project phases.
- Help develop and produce projects from initial concept through construction administration.
- Develop design efficiencies using AutoCAD and MicroStation OpenRoads software.
- Contribute to the design of roadway and trail systems, including geometry, vertical alignments, traffic management, and signage & pavement marking plans.
- Create erosion and sediment control plans that comply with state regulations.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal design standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
