Product Development Project Specialist

Job Summary:

The Product Development Project Specialist is responsible for the oversight and organization of development projects and deliverables. The specialist will provide design support to our product design team, ensuring that the needs of our retail customers are met beyond expectations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ability to maintain detailed, accurate information relative to product specifications and sample status

· Communicate with overseas team to coordinate product sampling and pricing

· Organize and maintain physical product samples and product photography

· Communicate status updates to product development team

· Prepare digital art/ image files for product sampling and production output

· Print and color proof imagery to maintain desired quality level

· Design digital artwork layouts for product packaging

· Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Knowledge of image editing and illustration software - Adobe Creative Suite

· Superior digital design skills

· Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team

· Maintain accurate information relative to product’s physical specifications

· Ability to accurately and consistently complete work on schedule and with minimal supervision

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent time management and planning skills

· Ability to be flexible and able to acclimate to change

Education and Experience:
·Major or significant coursework or equivalent in Graphic Design, or related disciplines preferred

· 1 – 2 years of experience in design field preferred

Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, 7 hours daily

· May be required to stand for 1-3 hours daily

· Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds periodically

· May be required to travel within a 20-mile radius periodically

· May be required to travel longer distances, with overnight stays, to attend trade shows or customer meetings, 1-8 hours each direction

· May be exposed to odors from paints and chemicals where masks may be required

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
