Position Overview
The Director of Supply Chain Planning will lead the end-to-end supply chain planning, inventory, and execution strategy across a growing and complex product portfolio. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in mid-cap environments, managing high SKU counts, multi-site operations, and external partnerships.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in the full range of supply planning processes as well as implementing postponement strategies, optimizing ERP systems (preferably Sage X3), planning, advanced scheduling, contract manufacturers, and driving the Executive Supply Review elements of the Integrated Business Planning Process (IBP). This position will play a vital role in connecting operational decisions to financial outcomes while ensuring supply chain agility, scalability, and efficiency.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Develop and implement a scalable, end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
- Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring alignment across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Executive Leadership.
- Serve as a key enabler of long-term business planning, scenario modeling, and executive supply chain reviews.
Planning, Scheduling & Inventory Management
- Manage complex supply chain planning for high volumes of SKUs and product variations, using postponement strategies to reduce waste and increase flexibility.
- Oversee production scheduling and capacity planning processes to ensure optimal throughput and responsiveness to demand.
- Optimize inventory levels and service metrics while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory across internal and external networks.
Systems, Tools & Reporting
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ERP/MRP tools (preferably Sage X3) for supply chain planning and execution.
- Establish and manage planning systems that support end-to-end visibility, postponement, and external partner coordination.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for data-driven decision-making and performance tracking.
External Manufacturing & Partnerships
- Collaborate with co-manufacturers, turnkey providers, and tolling partners to align production capacity, lead times, and service levels.
- Negotiate and manage supply agreements and planning strategies with external partners to ensure continuity and scalability.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing supply chain planning team.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, and Finance to deliver business results through effective planning and execution.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of supply chain processes, systems, and organizational alignment.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field is required.
