Essential Job Duties
- Handles day-to-day HR operations and employee relations issues for assigned location and teams, including without limitation talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance .
- Partners with the wider HR team and local managers to understand and execute the organization’s HR strategy.
- Develops positive relationships with managers and establishes a rapport with the staff at all levels of the organization to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Collaborates cross-functionally and with the HR team to deliver projects and support Company goals.
- Drafts job descriptions, company policies, and other materials as assigned.
- Identifies opportunities to improve company and HR policies and processes.
- Counsels managers and staff regarding employee relations matters, policies and procedures.
- Executes tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Serves as subject matter expert in areas of accountability, which may include training, policies, HR systems and technology, etc.
- Guides new hires through role-specific training and supports leadership and other training initiatives. Leads training initiatives, as assigned.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains HR records in accordance with Company policies and best practices.
- Prepares metrics for assigned location and projects.
- Stays abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies affecting human resources.
- Champions Designs for Health’s company values, demonstrating the highest levels of personal character, integrity, and professionalism.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant HR experience is required.
- SHRM or HRCI certification is preferred.
- Able to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Acquires and maintains knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
- Able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent record keeping skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS technology, including payroll systems and ATS.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
