We are hiring a UX / UI Design Developer. This position will work a remote schedule.

Job Purpose :

To design, develop and maintain proprietary software for customer-facing web applications and platform services.

Job Summary :

The UX / UI Design Developer is responsible for user experience and user interface, software design, user research, prototyping and development, knowledge of Microsoft technologies and services, and building mission critical, highly scalable systems.

Duties :

  • Design and conduct user interviews and surveys translating them into sitemaps, sketches, wireframes, user stories, user journeys, prototypes, and code that leads to intuitive user experiences.
  • Build and maintain modern web experiences, UI libraries, and style guides that align with the industry best practice coding and design standards.
  • Optimize application front-end for maximum speed and usability.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Take a human-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
  • Work in a scrum-based Agile development process which plans and builds features targeted to a release.
  • Collaborate with product management, developers, and technical stakeholders to deliver experiences that meet functional and technical requirements, modernize the applications, improve usability, and delight customers.
  • Incorporate best practices for accessibility, usability, web performance, human-centered design and design into the product and ultimately champion a more consistent and delightful user experience.
  • Document software solutions and ensure that technical documentation is maintained.
  • Troubleshoot, support, and maintain software systems in production.
  • Provide mentorship to other front-end engineers and designers in all aspects of UX / UI development.

Qualifications :

  • Experience developing with React, .NET Core, C#, Blazor, CSS frameworks, Html, JavaScript, jQuery.
  • Experience employing an iterative, user-centric design process in UX design / interactive prototyping.
  • Experience with prototyping and design tools like Figma, InVision, Adobe XD, Axure RP.
  • Experience taking input from multiple sources and synthesizing it into coherent design ideas.
  • Experience defining interaction models, creating user flows, storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • High proficiency in cloud design, development, and deployment of customer-facing web applications and API platform services.
  • Experience building robust and scalable distributed systems.
  • Experience with multi-tiered production applications.
  • Highly desired to have Azure experience.
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and a highly motivated self-starter that can work closely in a collaborative role with other team members.

    • Education and / or Experience :

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience relevant to functional area.
  • Minimum of 6 years software engineering experience with customer-facing consumer application.
  • Experience with Microsoft software development environment.
  • Experience with Azure environment and services.
  • Experience with Mobile App development.
