Position Summary :

DeSimone Consulting Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer to join our company with structural design experience on mid to high rise building projects.

Position Duties and Responsibilities :

The Project Engineer will implement standard engineering procedures to direct the flow of engineering work. The candidate will coordinate structural engineering design with other design team members, provide input to the Project Manager regarding project planning and scheduling of project components and milestones, and keep clear records of all design decisions, calculations and project related documentation.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor of Science in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field; and five (5) years of experience in design and analysis of mid to high rise buildings utilizing software packages such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, and SAFE; or
• Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field; and three (3) years of experience in design and analysis of mid to high rise buildings utilizing software packages such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, and SAFE
• Three / Five years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design dependent on Education Level
• Extensive knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices
• Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues.
• Ability to work in Rhino. Grasshopper is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, problem solving and team skills.

This position is classified as salaried, exempt. The hiring salary range for this role is anticipated to be $88,000 - $96,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications.

For this particular position, we expect to hire near the middle of the range. To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates with at least 3-5 years of experience in the industry, and must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, a Master's degree is a plus.

We understand that there may be rare and exceptional circumstances where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position. In these cases, we may consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
