Summary/Objective:
DeSimone Consulting Engineering is seeking a BIM Specialist. This position will provide competency in BIM to support the development of LOD300 BIM models to produce construction documentation and or other technical services of the company while working on mid to high-rise building projects.
The candidate will create LOD300 BIM models using the Autodesk Revit application to generate layouts and drawings of concrete, concrete masonry unit, steel and timber structures, etc. consisting of plans, elevations, sections, and details. Interpret Architectural, MEP, and Structural drawings and models for design coordination. Reviews design and confers with engineering staff to verify or resolve details not completely defined. Working with Existing Building drawings to create sequential construction models at a LOD 200-300 capacity and documentation using Phasing. Utilizing Dynamo to extract data or generate changes in a BIM environment. Maintains and provides quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) reviews of BIM projects and other duties as required. Assist in the training of lower-level BIM Specialists and/or engineers wishing to improve their BIM skills and other duties as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- High School diploma
- Minimum three (3) years of BIM experience required
- Extensive Knowledge of the Revit Platform
- Basic knowledge in creating and editing Revit families
- Built and concurrently maintain a minimum of 6-10 models and collaborated with various trades (MEP, Architecture, Landscaping, etc.)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in 3D and 4D (time and Phasing) in a Revit model
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Dynamo visual programming software
- Good communication skills, team orientated, and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently on tasks

For this particular position, we expect to hire near the middle of the range. To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of experience in BIM, a High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree, or above.
We understand that there may be rare and exceptional circumstances where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position. In these cases, we may consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
