Our interns will work alongside our dynamic team to gain practical experience and contribute to exciting projects. This internship offers hands-on learning opportunities under the guidance of experienced engineers. Position Summary:
Under close supervision, the individual’s primary responsibility is to work with the marketing team on a variety of projects. In this fast-paced environment you must be able to prioritize tasks and work within deadlines, while upholding a standard of excellence and attention to detail. DeSimone is proud to work side by side with our interns during this 8-week opportunity, to give them the exposure they need to progress in their future careers.
Qualifications (Minimum and Desired):
- High School Diploma
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelors Degree in Marketing or a related field – Must be a rising senior
- Possess strong verbal and written communications skills
- Able to perform various tasks within the project team environment
- Must be detail oriented with strong people and team skills
- Have a sense of urgency and initiative essential for success
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Information
- Help Research project information for use in all communications efforts
Awards
- Assist with preparation of submissions – research photos, facts, etc
Database Building and Management
- Assist with contact research for target contacts
- Assist with importing, exporting, updating and tagging lists
Email Campaigns (MailChimp)
- Assist with production of draft emails and templates
- Generate Analytics Reports
Public Relations
- Assist with tracking of PR efforts
- Create PDFs of media hits
- Post Press Releases and articles on the News Page
Social Media
- Draft routine posts for awards, new hires
- Assist with prep of photos
- Assist with design of social graphics and templates
- Schedule social posts
- Research relevant hashtags
- Research clients on social
Website
- Transferring project data to new website
- Optimizing project images (assuming changes based on new layout)
- Transferring existing news posts to new website
Data Management (Vantage Point/Open Asset)
- Updating project information in VP
- Collecting new project information from Project Managers
- Updating teammate information (resumes)
- Teamwork and Leadership

Work environment: Office setting - this position is in the office 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) 9am-6pm.

This position is classified as hourly, non-exempt. The hiring hourly rate for this is $30.00 per hour.
