Job Summary
Set in the beautiful mountains of Hope Valley. Historical Sorensen’s Café has been a staple for almost 100 years. If you have a passion for the outdoors, we are the place for you to work. Come join our team in the beautiful mountains. We are a year-round destination resort located in beautiful Hope Valley. Oversees all culinary activities, including the preparation and cooking of meals, ordering product and overview the flow of food, and supervising kitchen staff. Also responsible to perform any other duties as required.
General Accountabilities
· Check the quality of raw or cooked food to ensure that health and safety standards are met.
· Watch ticket times and make sure cooks are not falling behind.
· Be ready to jump in and help when cooks need it.
· Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow appropriate standards and regulations.
· Check the quantity and quality of received products.
· Supervise or coordinate activities of cooks or workers engaged in food preparation.
· Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
· Help chef on how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
· Count inventory and assist with paperwork
· Instruct cooks or other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food While the chef is out.
· Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes or menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients or the likely number of customers.
· Prepare and cook foods of all types.
· Help the Chef Demonstrate new cooking techniques or equipment to staff.

Job Qualifications
· Education: GED or high school diploma
· Experience: At least 3 years' experience in culinary management
· Serve safe/food handlers certificate
