Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care to companion animals and some exotic species, ensuring optimal health and well-being.
• Perform surgeries and procedures , ranging from routine spays/neuters to more specialized orthopedic or soft-tissue surgeries.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, ensuring timely and effective care for all patients.
• Consult with clients on health, preventative care, and lifestyle choices for their pets.
• Maintain accurate medical records and provide clear, compassionate communication with clients about their pets' conditions and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian (new graduates are also encouraged to apply with mentorship options available).
• Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in Alaska .
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to build rapport with clients and staff.
• A genuine passion for animal care , with an eagerness to grow professionally and contribute to the success of the clinic.
