The Regional Medical Director is responsible for ensuring that both operational and medical practices align with the company’s policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include monitoring package utilization, addressing client and staff concerns, mentoring recent graduates, maintaining transaction rates and pet counts, overseeing discount usage, and ensuring compliance. Please note that this position requires a minimum of 8 days per month working in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Work alongside our DVMs, assisting with cases and providing mentorship.
- Review cases upon request from the Regional Director (RD), DVM, or Practice Manager (PM).
- Oversee hospital operations, appointment flows, and client satisfaction.
- Provide urgent staffing support to area hospitals as needed.
- Offer guidance and review for adverse case outcomes.
- Monitor the Vetshare App for content quality and engagement.
- Analyze weekly trends with the PM and provide insights on key performance indicators, such as revenue, visits, revenue per day, revenue per doctor day, visits per day, and visits per doctor day.
- Collaborate with Regional Directors and the Vice President of Medicine to address any identified issues or make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure the accuracy of DEA log books.
- Review ongoing projects and provide necessary updates.
- Spend a minimum of 8 days each month working alongside our DVMs in hospital settings.
- Complete corporate duties within 13 days or less, including travel, projects, DVM interviews, meetings, holidays, and PTO. Any days not allocated for corporate duties should be used for clinical staffing.
- Work with the Regional Director on operational challenges or potential areas for improvement.
- Review DVM performance data to identify trends and address issues.
- Foster effective communication among DVMs and guide protocol development.
- Conduct quarterly inspections of all practices within the designated region.
- Organize regional events for DVMs.
- Maintain necessary licenses and permits to operate hospitals within the region, if required.
