An innovative and rapidly expanding urgent care veterinary practice in Smithfield, RI is seeking a dedicated Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. The practice focuses on providing after-hours care for canine and feline patients, filling the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight services, without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees.

This clinic operates with single-doctor shifts, handling common urgent care cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. The state-of-the-art facility is paperless, equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment, ensuring streamlined, efficient care for every patient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, relationship-based care to patients and clients.

• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and urgent care appointments, during open hours.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school (or completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program).
• Active veterinary license in good standing in Rhode Island (or the ability to obtain a license in the state).
