A partner hospital in Omaha, NE, is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian with experience in emergency or overnight care, offering after-hours urgent care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Responsibilities:

• Provide urgent care and emergency services to canine and feline patients
• Perform diagnostic tests, procedures, and administer treatments, including medications and fluids
• Consult with clients about their pets’ health conditions and treatments
• Manage a varying caseload, including common urgent care cases like wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using a cloud-based EMR system

Qualifications:

• DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school (or completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in Nebraska (or ability to obtain one)
• Experience in emergency and/or overnight care preferred
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to make informed, quick decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the clinical team
