Description
This job is part time.
1. Prepare all food for meals according to menus using standardized menus and procedures.
2. Ensure that all food served is palatable and seasoned properly.
3. Ensures proper portioning and serving of food according to menus, recipes, and tray card.
4. Ensures that meals are served at specified times.
5. Ensures that all meals are garnished according to menu.
6. Ensures that all leftovers are to be put in containers, dated, and used with 24 hours.
7. Cleans kitchen area including stoves, steam table, worktable, refrigerator at end of each shift.
8. Ensures that all carts, dishes, and trays are clean and sanitized.
9. Ensures all food is stored on shelved 12 inches off floor and 12 inches from ceiling.
10. Records food temperatures each meal.
11. Records refrigerator, freezer, and storeroom temperatures according to schedule.
12. Follows proper safety sanitation and handwashing procedures at all times and wears hairnet.
13. Puts away fresh produce when it arrives.
14. Works on tray line.
15. Brings up meat from freezer according to menu.
16. Supervises kitchen in absence of Dietary Manager.
Qualifications
- High School or equivalent. Health care dietary experience preferred.
