Job Title: Part-Time Manager- Golf Center
Grade: V
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Department: Parks and Golf Operations
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Golf and Facilities Supervisor
Supervises: Front Desk Staff, Deck Attendants, Starters
BASIC FUNCTION
Part Time Manager oversees the day to day operations of the Golf Center Facility in the absence of Golf and Facilities Supervisor and/or Superintendent Revenue Facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Ensure all aspects of the Golf Center are functioning at an exceptional level when the Golf and Facilities Supervisor and Superintendent of Revenue Facilities are not present.
- Supervise all front desk staff, deck attendants, and starters to ensure duties are performed in an outstanding manor as required by their job descriptions.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures to ensure security and accuracy.
- Take control of and act decisively in emergency situations, responding calmly and quickly under pressure. Administer first aid when needed. Complete necessary reports.
- Responsible for opening the facility and related opening procedures.
- Responsible for closing the facility and related closing procedures.
- Stay up to date with all specials, procedures, and rules implemented at the Golf Center.
- Communicate staff and facility issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure all employees are working cohesively with each other at all times.
- Make sure facility is clean at all times.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evening and weekend hours.
OTHER DUTIES
- Be prepared to assist or fill in at any position at the Golf Center.
- Walk the facility and monitor operations.
- Check the course and make sure there are no extensive hole back ups, garbage issues, or vandalism.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Park District Safety and Crisis Manuals.
- Coordinate staff to direct patrons in the event of an emergency such as severe weather or fire
- Perform additional duties as assigned by maintenance staff, and management.
POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Graduate and Above
Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age
Previous management experience preferred.
Cash handling experience preferred
Certifications: CPR/AED and First Aid within 6 months of hire
