Who we are: Destin Snorkel is the leader for in-water activities in our area. We offer snorkeling, shelling, Crab Island, dolphin tours and SNUBA dives. We are located in the Harborwalk Village, at the foot of the Emerald Grande.
What is SNUBA: SNUBA is an introduction to scuba diving. Destin Snorkel provides a tour for the public to experience underwater breathing without the certification required to scuba dive. Each person breathes through a normal SCUBA regulator connected by a 20-foot airline to the air supply that has been placed on a specially designed SNUBA raft that floats on the ocean’s surface following their every move. The dive is approximately 30-35 minutes per group, and instructors take up to 4 people per group. For more information about SNUBA, please visit their website .
Ideal Candidate: The candidate must be a certified rescue diver or above. We will pay for and train you to get SNUBA instructor certification. This person should have high energy, good communication/people skills, and be a hard worker. Must be able to pass a drug test and be on a consortium.
About the Position: You will be responsible first and foremost for providing instruction for the dive while ensuring an enjoyable dive for the guests. Other duties for this position include checking gear and equipment, running tanks, and keeping supplies stocked. You’ll also be responsible for assisting the Captain in anchoring, docking, and maintaining a safe, enjoyable experience for passengers of all ages. Pay for this position is per trip, plus tips. This position is part time/ seasonal.
