Spruce Peak is the premier Vermont mountain community located in Stowe, Vermont and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Green Mountains. The Club at Spruce Peak manages two golf courses, The Mountain Course and Stowe Country Club (SCC). The Mountain Course is a Bob Cupp design that sits at the base of Spruce Peak and SCC occupies the former site of a turn of the century dairy farm with rolling terrain perfect for a unique Vermont golf experience. SCC is entering the second year of an extensive two-year renovation led by world-renown golf course architect Beau Welling and his team. An overall master plan has been developed to include the construction of a new residential development and clubhouse along with amenities such as a redesigned practice facility, racquet sports, aquatics. The aim of this plan is to create a mountain-based community that will rival the best in the country. The front nine was completed with overwhelming success in the summer of 2024 and the back nine will undergo renovations this summer. SCC will operate as a 9-hole facility for the 2025 golf season. We are looking for an Assistant Golf Professional to join our team this summer at SCC. As the Assistant Golf Professional, you will find yourself working in all facets of our operation and being and integral part in promoting the products and services the club provides. Demonstrating high levels of customer service to ensure all members and guests have an unforgettable golf experience is a key component to our success. The chosen candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented and be driven to further their career in the golf/hospitality industry. The Assistant Golf Professional position directly supports the Director of Golf and can be seasonal or year-round.

The Assistant Golf Professional position directly supports the Director of Golf and can be seasonal or year-round.
Specific Position duties:
- Assist in the development and be an ambassador of all golf programming and initiatives
- Promote memberships and cultivate relationships with current members
- Assist in managing and scheduling the outside golf service team consisting of 10-15 full and part-time employees
- Assist in managing and scheduling the golf shop staff consisting of 3-5 full and part-time employees
- Heavily involved in golf shop operations to ensure high service levels and financial success
- Manage rental and demo club inventory and usage
- Assist with pre-tournament setup, the outside tournament setup, scoring, and tournament summaries through the use of Golf Genius
- Teach private, group, and junior golf instruction when appropriate
- Work with starters and rangers to ensure the pace of play is satisfactory
- Playing with members and in VT PGA events is encouraged
- Be approachable to all customers, vendors, and fellow staff while acting in a professional manner
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all amenities as well as any special events
- Assist in hiring staff and employee onboarding

Qualifications
General Club Team Member Requirements:
- Our most important requirement is a positive team-player attitude
- Excellent, personalized customer service. Make the experience memorable for our members and guests
- Be willing to go above and beyond and be willing to assist with something new
- Get ready to multi-task and think quickly in a fast-paced environment
- PGA member or Associate with 2 years of club experience is preferred but not mandatory. A motivated candidate who is willing to be trained is equally as attractive.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of Jonas Club Management is a plus.
