Job Summary:
As an Independent Travel Agent with our host agency, you will be responsible for planning and booking all aspects of travel for your clients. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Consulting with clients: Understanding their travel needs, preferences, and budget to create personalized itineraries
- Researching and recommending travel options: Flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, activities, cruises, and travel insurance
- Booking reservations: Utilizing our booking platform and supplier relationships to secure travel arrangements
- Providing exceptional customer service: Addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience
- Building and maintaining client relationships: Networking and marketing your services to attract new clients and retain existing ones
- Staying up-to-date on travel trends and destinations: Participating in training opportunities and industry events
- Managing your own business: Tracking expenses, managing client payments, and achieving sales goals
- Develop and present travel quotes and itineraries
- Process payments and issue travel documents
- Handle client communication before, during, and after travel
- Stay current with travel advisories, visa requirements, and health regulations
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Adhere to all industry regulations and ethical practices
- Passion for travel and helping others create memorable experiences
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with online travel resources
- Sales and marketing skills are a plus
- Prior travel industry experience is preferred, but not required. Comprehensive training is provided
