Credentialed Veterinary Technician Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Practice Manager and Medical Director credentialed technicians perform a wide range of tasks while providing high-quality patient care and excellent client service. These activities include, but are not limited to, outpatient care, surgical assisting and anesthesia, dental procedures, medical record keeping, and client education.

- Serve as a Destination Pet ambassador by supporting national and regional initiatives
- Be familiar with and adhere to the state practice act in the state you work in
- Professional mannerisms and appearance
- Uphold Destination Pet policies and procedures
- Pet obsessed
Expertise & Experience:
- Credentialed per the practice act for the state you work in
- Graduation from an AVMA-accredited school
- Passed the VTNE
- Maintain Credentials per your state’s Practice Act
Skills needed:
- Place IV catheters
- Record keeping
- Calculate drug doses
- Triage urgent patients
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations and blood draws
- Setting up lab work ex: cytology, blood work
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of patients during procedures and treatments
- Proper positioning of patients and obtaining x-rays
- Proficiency in preventatives/medications
- Assist with restraining patients during exams
