Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. As a vital member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and aseptic techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
Duties
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans.
- Conduct mammography exams and assist in sonography when necessary.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques based on diagnostic evaluations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with medical standards.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols at all times.
- Stay informed about advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing education.
Experience
- Shift: 8a-4:30p, Monday through Friday
- On-call REQ: yes, weekly rotation, Monday - Monday.
Weekend REQ: just for call
- Required minimum of 1 year experience
- Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT(R)
- Preferred IR certified
