Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner for documentation and reporting.
- Assist in specialized areas such as dementia care, home care, occupational health, or operating room (OR) settings as needed.
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures when required, including the ability to dialyze patients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices and procedures with a focus on travel nursing dynamics.
- Proficiency in medical documentation and familiarity with electronic health record systems like Cerner.
- Experience in specialized nursing areas such as dementia care, home care, occupational health, or OR is preferred.
