We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mammography/X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Operate X-ray equipment and ensure proper functioning through routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures performed and any relevant observations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing training as required.
Qualifications
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiology, including experience with X-Ray, CT, mammography, or sonography preferred.
- Understanding of emergency medicine principles and the ability to respond effectively in urgent situations.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess imaging needs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
