Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ICU Travel RN to join our team. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to patients in various healthcare settings across the country. This role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work in diverse environments. You will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while adhering to established standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs and medical history.
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, including family planning and long-term care options.
- Participate in critical care transport when necessary, ensuring safe patient transfers.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Provide support in hospice palliative medicine settings as needed.
- Engage in continuous learning opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in good standing; compact license preferred.
- Experience in internal medicine or critical care is highly desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with teaching hospitals and their operational standards is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work under pressure.
- Previous experience in long-term care settings is an asset.
- Knowledge of aliment management practices is preferred.
