Job Title: Electrical Power Distribution Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Power Distribution Specialist to join our team at Destinationone Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives work orders and applicable instructions from supervisor along with sufficient and accurate information for the work to be accomplished including appropriate specifications and/or standards.
- Installs temporary and permanent underground and overhead residential and commercial single and three-phase power systems.
- Investigates, troubleshoots and resolves customer power complaints such as power outages, low or no voltage, radio/TV interference, line arcing and related conditions.
- Acts in an On Call (Standby) status as part of a weekly rotational schedule for responding to after normal working hours electrical emergencies and/or outages.
- Performs load switching on energized power systems as necessary to balance amperage on different lines to direct power around trouble spots and to restore service to customers.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Qualified Journeyman Lineman is required.
- Valid State of Washington Driver's License and appropriate insurance at the time of hire for work-related travel and operation of city vehicle.
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License Class A with Tankers (or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire).
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in both the office and varied outside settings. Employee will work outdoors in various weather climates, all noise levels, hazardous conditions and on a full range of outdoor work surfaces. Frequent use of protective clothing and/or personal protection devices is required.
