POSITION OVERVIEW //

The Creative Specialist works closely with sales, creative leadership, environmental designers and graphic designers as a visual storyteller that engages, informs, and inspires. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and uses their creativity to craft innovative, strategic and on-brand creative solutions for events and experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Review creative brief RFP and partner with sales, creative leadership, environmental designers and graphic designers to develop compelling creative concepts for events and experiences.
• Create pitch decks within assigned deadlines, including written copy, mood imagery and conceptual visual elements. • Create pitch decks within assigned deadlines, including written copy, mood imagery and conceptual visual elements.
• Attend Creative, Sales and Client meetings as requested.
• Deliver high quality proposals that meet all Destinations by Design and/or Client brand standards.
• Create audience journey maps and floorplans to support the visual and strategic story
• Effectively communicate project status, challenges and production timeline issues.
• Work independently and efficiently, with superb attention to detail, while under pressure, within aggressive deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS //

• Knowledge of Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere
• College degree and 2 years of experience in crafting innovative, strategic and on-brand creative solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to work successfully in a deadline-driven environment where multitasking is commonplace.
• Familiar with Canva and Vectorworks.
• Basic formatting and copy-editing skills are required. 
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere
• College degree preferred or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS // 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
